Michael Longoria, currently on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys, will take the stage of the Metropolitan Room at Gotham (34 West 22nd Street, between 5th and 6th Ave.) on Monday, June 19th at 8 PM.

Alysha Umphress (winner of XL Star, season 1) will make a guest apperance; she will sing the duet version of "Waiting 4U" with Longoria.

"Under 1000 Shades of Blue" is the CD debut of Longoria, who is a singer-songwriter as well as Broadway performer. Currently in the cast of Broadway's Jersey Boys, Longoria plays a 17-year old Joe Pesci. He also plays his original music on his off nights around the city. "Writing from personal stories, his songs tell intimate tales of life through complex lyrics. His music inspires audiences to think beyond the catchy melodies he creates with his unique, soulful tenor. Michael's music is an original fusion of pop, folk and soul," state notes on the album.

Jersey Boys, the musical story of the Four Seasons, is currently a hit at the August Wilson Theatre, where the show opened on November 6th, 2005. It stars
Christian Hoff as Tommy DeVito, Daniel Reichard as Bob Gaudio, J. Robert Spencer as Nick Massi and John Lloyd Young as Frankie Valli, and is directed by Des MacAnuff.  Young and Hoff recently won Tony Awards for their work in the show, which was itself awarded the Tony for Best Musical.

There is a $15 cover and 2 drink minimum for Longoria's show.  Only those 18 and older will be admitted. Call (212) 206-0440 ext. 10 (suggested since seating is limited) or visit www.metropolitanroom.com.
