Mysterious and eclectic, the 1-800-Weirdos CD, Volume 1 -Everybody's A Weirdo will infect your brain with with bizarre beats and strange synth sounds. Like the Jerky Boys in reverse, samples of crank callers to our phone line are synchronized to the trippy musical material, with drum beats morphing into spacey atmosphEric Shimmering. All of the vocals on the CD are taken from actual callers to 1-800-Weirdos.

The 1-800-Weirdos CD, Volume I - Everybody's A Weirdo is available through CD Baby at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jxyou

Jeremy X. & the Weirdos are the house band for the Weirdos TV show, broadcast on the web site www.Weirdos.TV and simulcast from live concerts. During the show, Jeremy X. takes live callers to the 1-800-Weirdos (800-934-7367) line, and even answers the phone when he's on stage! Many forms of audience participation are included in the show.

During each live show, music is created using a dizzying array of digital synthesizers, including samples of callers and physical modeling of acoustic instruments. In addition, audio processing in realtime using digital effects and MIDI controllers creates an aural landscape that stimulates the imagination of the viewer. The visual technology includes realtime video processing of multiple cameras and multiple video overlays creating a psychedelic cornucopia of delicious eye candy.

After the live shows end, the technology is just getting started at 1-800-Weirdos! Pre-recorded videos from the 1-800-Weirdos vault as well as previous episodes of the live show are shown on the site all day and night...whenever a live show is not taking place. Also, each episode of the live show is distributed as a video podcast on Apple's iTunes Music Store and as a standard RSS feed. Excerpts of the best bits from the shows are uploaded to YouTube, MySpace, and Facebook for fans to feed on.

Jeremy X. Halpern is the sole proprietor of 1-800-Weirdos, and founder of the multimedia performance group Verge. As musical director of Verge, he has masterminded and composed music for such bizarre epics as "Speak of the Devil (A Satanic Cabaret)" and "Battle of the Dead Celebs (A comic dance of historical significance)", and is currently composing the score for "Mogulopolis", a music spectacle about female robots. He recently performed at the Highline Ballroom with Michael T. & the Vanities, and at the Coney Island Sideshow with Burlesque star Bunny Love's "Nude" band.
