Jennifer Hudson to Guest on ABC's THE VIEW, 9/11

The "Sweet 16" season of ABC's Emmy® Award-winning talk show, THE VIEW continues with an exciting line up of celebrities SEPTEMBER 10-14 (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, ET), including Academy® Award winner Jennifer Hudson.

Hudson's singing and acting career soared with her starring role as Effie White in the 2006 feature film "Dreamgirls." An Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress were among the many accolades that she was awarded. Hudson's other film credits include "Sex and the City" and "The Secret Life of Bees."

She earned a Grammy for her self-titled debut album "Jennifer Hudson," which released the single "Spotlight" and was certified gold by the RIAA. Her sophomore album, "I Remember Me," debuted at #2 on Billboard's Top 200 and R&B Albums charts and has since been certified gold in the U.S. She recently received a 2012 Billboard Music Award nomination for Top R&B Album and also collaborated with Ne-Yo and Rick Ross on the title track for the hit film "Think Like a Man," which opened in April 2012. Also in 2012, Hudson became a best-selling author with the release of her inspirational memoir "I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down."

The actress will make a guest starring appearance on the second season of NBC's musical drama series SMASH. 

Also coming up next week on THE VIEW, "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson, who makes his first television appearance on the heels of circulating rumors about his exit from the popular show, first-time guest Richard Gere ("Arbitrage"), actress Amy Adams ("Trouble with the Curve," "The Master") and Oscar winner Susan Sarandon.

"Guy Day Friday" continues with ABC News' Chris Cuomo, SEPTEMBER 14, and "Good Morning America" co-host and ABC News correspondent George Stephanopoulos is scheduled to appear SEPTEMBER 11. "Dancing with the Stars" Season Three champions -- and competitors on the upcoming all star season -- Emmitt Smith and his partner, Cheryl Burke, appear live on SEPTEMBER 13, and Barbara Corcoran of ABC's "Shark Tank is scheduled to appear SEPTEMBER 14.
