Perez Hilton is reporting that a source close to Jennifer Hudson has revealed that the Oscar winner may perform the Star Spangled Banner at Barack Obama's inauguration on January 20th.

This would mark her first public performance since the tragic killings of her mother, brother, and nephew.

Hudson is scheduled to sing at the Grammy charity concert to honor Neil Diamond, the 2009 MusiCares® Person of the Year on February 6th.

Jennifer's exposure during the third season of TV's American Idol in 2004 introduced her to a nation duly impressed with her potent soulfulness.

After Idol, Jennifer auditioned for the part of Effie in Dreamgirls, beat out thousands of contenders for the coveted role and went on to win an Oscar.
