Join us at FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW for an evening of songs by one of the most exciting new voices in musical theatre, Zack Zadek. Zack has been named by Playbill as "A Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriter You Should Know" and is a MacDowell Fellow, recipient of Weston's New Musical Award, a Kleban Prize Finalist and Jonathan Larson Grant Finalist, currently in residence with The Orchard Project Greenhouse and signed to Warner/Chappell music.
The concert will feature highlights from Zack's musicals including Deathless (2017 world premiere at Goodspeed), Store Brand (currently in development with The Civilians), The Crazy Ones (developed at the 5th Avenue Theatre), Love, Rosie (based on the 2014 film), and first time sneak peeks of other commissions in development.
Featuring an all-star cast of Broadway performers, and a killer band led by Zack, the evening marks Zack's return to the concert stage with loads of never-before-heard material. From the indie rock suburban vibes of Store Brand, to the deeply moving world of immortality painted in Deathless, experience some of the best new musical theatre, by one of its most daring new writers.
Featuring Joseph Allen (Hairspray, Gypsy) Ally Bonino (Dogfight, Pregnancy Pact), Gerard Canonico (Be More Chill, Groundhog Day, American Idiot), Harrison Chad (The Black Suits, Caroline, or Change), Jennifer Damiano (Deathless, Next To Normal, Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark), Kasie Gasparini (Mamma Mia!), Arielle Jacobs (Aladdin, In The Heights, Wicked) Jared Loftin (Gigantic, Saturday Night), Chris McCarrell (The Lightning Thief, Les Misérables), Grace McLean (Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812, Brooklynite), George Salazar (Be More Chill, The Lightning Thief, tick tick BOOM), Angela Sclafani (Kansas City Choir Boy, The Other Side of Paradise), Kacie Sheik (Songbird, Hair), Talia Suskauer (Be More Chill, Love In Hate Nation), Betsy Wolfe (Waitress, Falsettos, Bullets Over Broadway), and Noah Zachary (Poster Boy, I Am Harvey Milk).
Produced and directed by Jennifer Ashley Tepper.
On the 9:30 concert, Zadek says: "I really couldn't be more excited for this concert - because it's the first time ever that we're sharing never before heard songs from some brand new projects, alongside material from musicals that people might be more familiar with. And to get to collaborate on these songs with many of my favorite performers is a rare treat - they are the ones who are going to make the evening truly special!"
There is a $35-$45 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.
