Jeff Daniels recently spoke with the New York Post about his favorite New York City locations to listen to the city's hottest music. Daniels said he will often check out the Birdland Jazz Club to find the cities hot tunes.

"I've dropped in occasionally for ‘Jim Caruso's Cast Party' on Monday nights. [Monday is still the weekend for Broadway stars.] It feels like somebody's throwing a party in their living room. You can play anything, and you get some really cool people that come through there - Liza, Barbara Cook, a lot of the Broadway people. You can just sing one song. I've gone in there with my guitar."

The Post also spoke with 8 other NYC celebrities about their favorite NYC hangouts. To read the full article, click here.

After receiving rave reviews in London, GOD OF CARNAGE opened on Broadway March 22, 2009 to unanimous praise.

Jeff Daniels originated the role of 'Alan' in the original Broadway production of GOD OF CARNAGE, for which he received a Tony nomination. In a rare casting twist, he returns to the show to play the role of 'Michael.'

The Yasmina Reza comedy won the Tony Award for Best Play and Best Direction of a Play (Matthew Warchus). GOD OF CARNAGE also won the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

GOD OF CARNAGE is a comedy of manners without the manners. The play deals with the aftermath of a playground altercation between two boys and what happens when their parents meet to talk about it.

GOD OF CARNAGE reunites the creative team that staged the Tony Award-winning Best Play, Art. Designed by Mark Thompson (sets and costumes), with lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker & Chris Cronin, the play has music by Gary Yershon.
