Jason Robert Brown's CONNECTOR Heading to Chicago

According to the Chicago Tribune, Jason Roobert Brown's newest musical THE CONNECTOR is heading to the Chicago stage at Northlight Theatre.  The production is aiming for a run in the 2011-12 season.

The new musical will be directed by Daisy Prince and wil focus on thw world of journalism, and reporters who 'make up news.'

Northlight's BJ Jones commented: "We putting the finishing touches on our agreement. This is a long and fruitful relationship."

JRobert Brown is best known for spearheading the new generation of contemporaryAmerican musical theatre composers. His four major musicals as composer and lyricistare: 13, a musical written with Robert Horn and Dan Elish, which began its life in Los Angeles in 2007 and opened on Broadway in 2008; The Last 5 Years, which was cited asone of Time Magazine's 10 Best of 2001 and won Drama Desk Awards for Best Music and Best Lyrics; Parade, a musical written with Alfred Uhry and directed by Harold Prince,which premiered at Lincoln Center Theatre in 1998, and subsequently won both the Drama Desk and New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards for Best New Musical, as well asgarnering Jason the Tony Award for Original Score; and Songs for a New World, atheatrical song cycle directed by Daisy Prince, which played Off Broadway in 1995, andhas since been seen in hundreds of productions around the world.
