Tony Award-winner and three-time Emmy nominee Jane Krakowski makes her Walt Disney Concert debut, Sunday, October 23, at 7:30 p.m. Krakowski's 75-minute program features cabaret and show tunes popularized by female performers who have inspired her such as Ann-Margret and Eartha Kitt, and is the first of three 2011/12 LA Phil Songbook series concerts.
The multi-talented Krakowski received the 2003 Tony Award for her portrayal of "Carla" in the Broadway musical Nine, opposite Antonio Banderas. That performance also earned her the Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award. She currently stars as "Jenna Maroney" on NBC's Emmy-winning 30 Rock. Krakowski, along with the 30 Rock cast, won the 2008 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. In 2011, 2010 and 2009, Krakowski received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.Last summer, Krakowski released her solo debut album, The Laziest Gal in Town, a CD recording captured during her cabaret nightclub debut at Feinstein's at Loews Regency.The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, under the vibrant leadership of Music Director Gustavo Dudamel, presents an inspiring array of music from all genres - orchestral, chamber and Baroque music, organ and celebrity recitals, new music, jazz, world music and pop - at two of L.A.'s iconic venues, Walt Disney Concert Hall (www.laphil.com) and the Hollywood Bowl (www.hollywoodbowl.com). The LA Phil's season at Walt Disney Concert Hall extends from October through May, and throughout the summer at the Hollywood Bowl.
