Jane has been busy the past few months with several projects. Highlights include:

Resonations - An International Live Telematic Music Concert for Peace from the UN with bassist Mark Dresser, conductor Sarah Weaver and musicians in four locations around the world. W/ Oliver Lake, Marty Ehrlich, Samir Chatterjee, Joan La Barbara, Dave Taylor, Tom Ulrich, & Yoon Sun Choi.

Close-Up Music, The Jane Ira Bloom Quartet & The Intimacy of Ideas - a concert/ discussion featuring Dawn Clement, Mark Helias, & Matt Wilson at the Philoctetes Center for the Study of Imagination in NYC focusing on improvisational creativity.

Empty is Also - premiere of a new performance art piece involving dance, sculpture, and live music at the Performa Festival in NYC. w/ Emily Coates & Tamar Ettun.

The Jules Feiffer Project & Residency at the Barishnikov Arts Center
- composing & performing score for a short film of dances inspired by Jules Feiffer's modern dancer. w/ choreographers Larry Keigwig, Susan Marshall, Merce Cunningham dancer Andrea Weber, and director Judy Dennis.

M'Lumbo - guest artist recording with the eight-piece surreal electronica band M'Lumbo featuring keyboardist Rob Ray and drummer Jaz Sawyer.

W/ composers Mark Dresser, Gerry Hemingway, & Sarah Weaver.

July 20-24
The Jazz Composers Orchestra Institute
Composer/ educator - a new collaborative project of the Center for Jazz Studies at Columbia Univ and the American Composers Orchestra held at the Columbia University campus. W/ composers George Lewis, Anthony Davis, Tania Leon, Alvin Singleton, Derek Bermel, and Fabian Levy.
