1010 Wins reports Broadway actor James Barbour, who recently starred in the pre-Broadway world premiere of the new musical A Tale of Two Cities, has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of sexual-misconduct with a minor.
Barbour "admitted sexually touching the teen when she visited him backstage in June 2001 and later when she visited his Upper West Side apartment," states the article.
On Thursday, January 3, 2008, Barbour plea-bargained the lesser charge. As "guilty" he may be sentenced for 60 days in jail and 3 years probation by the Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday, February 29, 2008.
Because it is ruled as a misdemeanor crime, he will not need to register as a sex offender. Barbour recently appeared in the national tour and Hollywood Bowl productions of Camelot. His past Broadway credits include Beauty and the Beast and Jane Eyre.
