Broadway and NYC performing artists donate their time and talents as teaching artists at the 9th Annual Dare to Go Beyond (D2GB) Children's Performing Arts Camp, hosted by R.Evolución Latina (RL).

This year's camp started with words of inspiration from Broadway and "Jane The Virgin" star Jaime Camil: "Never be afraid of things you don't even know are going to happen. A door closing is an opportunity to accomplish something bigger."

Over 200 children from the five-boroughs of New York City come together to take a week full of classes that empower through the arts thanks to the Broadway community. The focus of the camp this year is BOUNTIFUL and encourages exchange across all cultural backgrounds. The educational program will run from August 1st through August 5th, at Pearl Studios in Manhattan. It is the only free and bilingual Broadway summer camp in New York.

Each day is designed to touch on the things that make each individual uniquely BOUNTIFUL and the beauty, strength and talent in each other as we build a community that will believe in their dreams, support one another, and break down any walls that society has built.

The D2GB Children's Performing Arts Camp empowers campers and teaching artists alike to help build bridges in their communities that make a positive impact in society. Our children need us more than ever to inspire them to believe in their own inner light and the possibilities of what life has in store for them.

The curriculum focuses on the arts to develop skills in leadership, collaboration, respect, and self-awareness, while promoting health, fitness, environmental awareness, and civic engagement. The teaching artists are noted Broadway and international performers.
