As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, Cheyenne Jackson will be returning to NBC's 30 Rock on the October 14th live episode, alongside Matt Damon and Jon Hamm. The FINIAN'S RAINBOW star first appeared on the hit comedy on November 14, 2009 as TGS cast member Danny, and made a second appearance in the November 20, 2009 episode.

The October 14 live episode will be aired live from NBC's studio 8H for both east and west coast audiences. The east coast broadcast will air at 8:30pm EST. The cast will perform the same episode for a second airing at 11:30pm EST for the west coast. Those in central time can view the live show at 7:30pm CT.

The series takes place behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy series depicted as airing on NBC; the name "30 Rock" refers to the address of the GE Building where NBC Studios is located, 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The series has an ensemble cast that currently consists of 10 regular cast members, including Fey, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander and Alec Baldwin.

"30 Rock" has been a critical success, winning several major awards, and achieving the top ranking on myriad critics' year-end best of 2006 and 2007 lists. On July 14, 2009 the show was nominated for 22 Emmy Awards, the most in a single year for a comedy series.
