As scheduled, Jackie Hoffman will play her final performance in The J.A.P. Show, Jewish American Princesses of Comedy on Saturday, May 5 at 8:00 PM.  Hoffman will appear on Broadway in the upcoming new musical Xanadu, scheduled to begin performances on May 23 at the Helen Hayes Theatre.

The rotating cast of comics featured in The J.A.P. Show, Jewish American Princesses of Comedy include Cory Kahaney, Cathy Ladman, Jessica Kirson, Sherry Davey, Julie Goldman, and Betsy Salkind.

In The J.A.P. Show, Jewish American Princesses of Comedy, "four brassy and ballsy female comics give nachus to their female predecessors.  They amply demonstrate, through their own zany stories and stand-up, how the Jewish female comics of yore are treasured pioneers without whom they would not exist.  With jokes both old and new about sex, husbands, family and weight issues, these lewd and lascivious ladies prove that the stuff cracking-up Bubby and Zayde in the schtetl is still pretty darn funny.  The live performance, which is peppered with vintage footage of the original queens of comedy, enables these proud princesses to share the stage with their royal forbears.," according to production notes.

The J.A.P. Show, Jewish American Princesses of Comedy is directed by Dan Fields and written by Cory Kahaney.  Lighting design is by Jeff Croiter, scenic design is by Jo Winiarski, and projection design is by Aaron Rhyne.  This production is presented by Foster Entertainment, Maximum Entertainment, Avalon Entertainment and Judith Marinoff Cohn.

Show, Jewish American Princesses of Comedy plays Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM, Wednesdays at 3:00 PM & 8:00 PM, and Sundays at 5:00 PM at the Actors Temple Theatre (339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).  Tickets are $29.50 – $65, and can be purchased through Telecharge by calling (212) 239-6200, or online at www.Telecharge.com.  For more information, visit www.TheJapShow.com.
