"Laced with cooking classes, swimming lessons and a smorgasbord of illegal drugs, Jack Goes Boatingis a story of date panic, marital meltdown, betrayal and the prevailing grace of the human spirit," as press notes describe the show.The play will begin previews February 27th for a March 18th opening at Martinson Hall at the Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street).Recent Callaway Award Winner Peter Dubois will direct co-artistic directors Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz alongside Daphne Rubin-Vega and Beth Cole. LAByrinth will also be featuring a reading of A View from 151st Street, another new play from Bob Glaudini with direction by Peter Dubois, as part of the Seventh Annual Barn Series Festival. The readings will take place on December 17th and 20th at 8pm at The Public Theater and will feature Gbenga Akkinagbe, Liza Colon-Zayas, Russell G. Jones, Marisa Malone, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Felix Solis, muMs and David Zayas. Bob Glaudini also wrote Dutch Heart of Man, which was previously produced by LAByrinth.
