The Met Museum presents JP Jofre's Hard Tango Chamber Band in performance, free at the Balcony Bar tonight, July 26, and Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Featuring: Fung Chern Hwei, violin; Jessica Meyer, viola; Yoni Levyatov, piano; and JP Jofre, bandoneon. Program: Works by Piazzolla, Leo Brower, and JP Jofre.
Three sets of performances will take place between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. This event, free with Museum admission, is part of the ongoing series of free performances at the Balcony Bar every Friday and Saturday evening by the acclaimed string quartet ETHEL and select musical groups from ETHEL's expansive list of notable colleagues who perform when the group is on the road. This new programming initiative provides a variety of musical experiences to Met audiences, delivered by a range of ensemble types and compositions.
