JMTC Theatre Presents Three Hit Shows Combining Arts And Advocacy

JMTC Theatre will present their award-winning, hit shows Spitting In The Face Of The Devil, The Good Adoptee and Smoker in repertory starting Wednesday January 2nd thru January 13th. After successfully touring these acclaimed solo shows all over the U.S. And Canada, JMTC Theatre brings them back home to NYC for 13 intimate performances. Additionally JMTC will present "3 From JMTC at APAP": 20 minute segments from these hit shows as part of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP)* annual conference in New York City on Monday January 7th for APAP and Industry Professionals. These 20 minute showcases are presented in continuous rotation from 11AM until 4PM. All shows and showcases will take place at The Bridge Theatre @ Shetler Studios (244 West 54th Street, 12th floor).

As Bob tries to break up with his first love: "those sweet Camel lights" he realizes all the complex connections he has through smoking: how it helped him through a turbulent childhood, created jobs, opportunities and community, and one particular connection almost too precious to let go. At once hilarious and cautionary, Smoker is pertinent for anyone who has ever experienced an addiction; substance or otherwise. Smoker won the Best Autobiographical Show Award at United Solo and was a Bestseller on Indie Theater Now. The show is written and performed by Bob Brader and directed and developed by Suzanne Bachner with lighting design by Katie Chai. The Good Adoptee opens Wednesday, January 2nd at 7pm and runs Sat. Jan. 5 at 2PM, Wed. Jan 9 at 2PM, Fri. Jan. 11 at 7PM and Sun. Jan, 13 at 2PM. Spitting In The Face Of The Devil opens Thursday January 3rd at 7PM and runs Sun. Jan. 6 at 2PM, Wed. Jan. 9 at 7PM and Sat. Jan. 12 at 7PM. Each show is 80 minutes. A talk back with the artists will follow each performance.
