JMTC Presents PREPARATION HEX At London Fringe 6/18-28, Plays 2 NYC Shows 6/9,10

John Montgomery Theatre Company (JMTC) is proud to present acclaimed New York monologist Bob Brader's Preparation Hex at The London Fringe Festival. Brader makes his international debut June 18 - 28, 2009. JMTC invites New York audiences to celebrate with two kick-off performances, June 9 & 10 at midtown's The Directors Studio.

Love is not the only ring of fire. This hemorrhoid tale and love story is New York monologist Bob Brader's hilarious journey to get the girl - and live to love her. Directed and developed by Suzanne Bachner, Preparation Hex's debut at the 2nd annual FRIGID New York Festival was called, "Honest and funny...Brader delivers with an infectious mix of humor, horror and insight...a thoroughly enjoyable ride," by Robert Attenweiller of nytheatre.com.

JMTC takes Preparation Hex to The London Fringe Festival after two NYC kick-off performances at The Directors Studio: Tuesday, June 9th and Wednesday, June 10th at 7pm. Advance tickets are $11 and available by calling SmartTix at 212-868-4444, or online at www.jmtcinc.com. Tickets at the door are $15 cash. The Directors Studio is located at 311 West 43rd street, 4th floor.

The London Fringe Festival presents Preparation Hex in six performances at The ARTS Project in London, ON: Friday, June 19 at 9:30pm, Saturday, June 20 at 3:30pm, Monday, June 22 at 7:30pm, Tuesday, June 23 at 9:45pm, Friday, June 26 at 7:00pm and Saturday, June 28 at 6:00pm. Preparation Hex is written and performed by Bob Brader, whose first monologue, the acclaimed Spitting In The Face Of The Devil was a hit at The InaugurAl Woodstock Memoir Festival after a three month The Red Room and standing room only crowds at the Fletcher Gallery in Woodstock, NY. Preparation Hex is directed and developed by Suzanne Bachner. The lighting design is by Douglas Shearer, the producer is Morgan Lindsey Tachco (co-founder, FRIGID New York Festival) for JMTC.

John Montgomery Theatre Company (JMTC) is a NYC-based international collective of actors, writers, directors and designers creating original dramatic work with an emphasis on the collaborative process. Founded in London in 1994 by Patrick Hillan, JMTC has produced over 40 productions in New York City, worked with over 100 incredible theater artists and consumed 1,000's and 1,000's of post-show pints! Past productions include the award-winning Circle, by Suzanne Bachner, directed by Trish Minskoff, which ran for five months Off-Broadway; Shakespeare's Othello starring Geoffrey Owens; the cult hit, Icons & Outcasts, written and directed by Suzanne Bachner; and the New York premiere of When I Was a Girl, I Used to Scream and Shout by Sharman Macdonald, directed by Trish Minskoff and starring Roberta Maxwell, Robin Morse and Fred Koehler. JMTC has presented work at PSNBC@HERE and 20th Century Fox at the Coronet Theater in LA and has received four OOBR Awards. In addition, JMTC has participated in many festivals-The Midtown International Theater Festival ("Best of Fest" two consecutive years), The Spotlight On Festival at The Raw Space, The Bare Bones Festival at HERE, Flicks on 66 Wild West Digital Shootout (Finalist), and most recently, the first-ever and second annual FRIGID New York Festival. JMTC ran its own theater space in Chelsea for four years and is currently producing new work independently all over NYC and abroad.

Preparation Hex marks the kick-off of JMTC's 2009 summer festival season: Suzanne Bachner's new play Benny will debut at The Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival, July 16 - 26 directed by Trish Minskoff; The Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival will present Diving Kitty by Suzanne Bachner July 14 - 19; and Bob Brader's Spitting In The Face Of The Devil has been chosen for the New York International Fringe Festival, August 14 - 30.
