Josh Young, the Tony Award nominated actor who made his Broadway debut as "Judas" in 2012 revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, has announced the release of his new CD, Still Dreaming Of Paradise.
In addition to a selection of theater standards, pop classics and new compositions, the album contains his version of Superstar's "Heaven On Their Minds" - accompanied by Kevin Ramessar, lead guitarist from the revival's orchestra - the only recording from the show by a member of its cast. Young appeared for two seasons at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival where his credits include "Judas" in Jesus Chris Superstar (directed by Des McAnuff), "Connie Rivers" in Grapes of Wrath, and "Che" in Evita, directed by Gary Griffin. Josh portrayed "Marius" in the U.S. National Tour of Les Misérables and "Tony" in the International tour of West Side Story, directed by Joey McNeely. His debut CD, Josh Young, features songs by Jason Robert Brown, Rodgers & Hart, Judy Collins, Kander & Ebb and a speciAl West Side Story medley.
