JERSEY BOYS And Diet Coke Team Up For Heart Health Awareness

The company of Jersey Boys is partnering with Diet Coke and Jewel-Osco in recognition of Heart Health Awareness Month in February. In association with the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute's "The Heart Truth" campaign, a series of events will take place throughout the month to promote the prevention of heart disease through healthy lifestyle choices.

Cast members from Jersey Boys will be on hand at four area Jewel-Osco locations in February. With the help of Jewel-Osco dietitian Kim Kirchherr, the cast will assist shoppers with healthy recipe tips and a "Heart Smart Shopping List." Fans will also be able to take photos with the cast, get CD samplers autographed, and have a chance to win fabulous prizes, including tickets and the "red carpet" treatment at Jersey Boys special "Heart Health Night." To really "get to the heart of the matter," Dr. SAndy Goldberg, clinical nutritionist and NBC5 Chicago contributor, will be a special guest at the in-store events.

The Jewel-Osco events will take place in Chicago from 3:30 - 5 p.m.; the dates and locations are as follows:

Jersey Boys Cast Member to Sing National Anthem at Chicago Bulls

Tuesday, February 24 is Hearth Health Night at the Chicago Bulls! Jersey Boys cast member John Michael Dias will sing the National Anthem and then will visit the Diet Coke Hearth Health concourse display during half time to sign autographs and take photos with fans.

The campaign will culminate on March 18 at the Bank of America Theatre during Jersey Boys Heart Health Night, a special "red carpet" evening that will be dedicated to raising awareness for the cause.
