The new tour for JEKYLL & HYDE will kick off its 25- week National Tour in San Diego on October 2nd! This new tour stars R&B superstar Deborah Cox as Lucy and American Idol and ROCK OF AGES star Constantine Maroulis in the title dual role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde. Playing at the San Diego Civic Theatre from October 2–7, this is an opportunity to see this show in a whole new way.

The musical is based on the acclaimed novella "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson, about a London doctor who accidentally unleashes his evil alternate personality in his quest to cure his father's mental illness. This dark and dangerous love story was conceived for the stage by Tony and Grammy Award nominee Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden.

Trained at the Boston Conservatory, Constantine Maroulis is most famous for his performances on the fourth season of American Idol, where he was a finalist. He went on from there to star as Roger in RENT and then on to lead role in a three-year run in Broadway's ROCK OF AGES where he received a Best Actor Tony nomination and a Drama League nomination for his performance.

R&B sensation Deborah Cox is a multi-platinum selling and a multi-talented entertainer. After being discovered by Clive Davis Cox went on to conquer the R&B and pop charts, including six top-20 Billboard R&B singles, an impressive eleven (11) #1 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart and the lead role in Elton John and Tim Rice's Broadway musical, AIDA. Cox will return to Broadway in Jekyll & Hyde as Lucy in 2013 and Josephine as Josephine Baker in 2014.

This tour will include the classic songs like "This is the Moment", "A New Life", "Someone Like You" that first enthralled audiences from Broadway and beyond. Originally this show as conceived as a concept album in 1990 ad featured Colm Wilkinson and Linda Eder. Shortly after it made its world premier at the Alley Theatre in Houston starring Chuck Wagner as Jekyll/ Hyde and Linda Eder as Lucy.

JEKYLL & HYDE is a theatrical phenomenon that did a 30-city tour before going to New York and earning four Tony Award nominations. It went on to become an international sensation with multiple tours in the UK and North America, and over a dozen recordings from Germany, Spain, Austria, Hungary, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Japan and South Korea, among others.
