JEKYLL AND HYDE Starring Brad Little Will Play Seoul From August 28 To September 20

Jekyll and Hyde - the musical by Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse - will play Seoul from August 28 to September 20. This represents the fifth run of the musical in the country, only this time, the production will feature Broadway talent.

Brad Little will lead the production in the title roles.

Jekyll and Hyde, which opened on Broadway in 1997, is a thriller set in 1880s London. It's based on "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," a novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson and first published in 1886. Jekyll, a benevolent doctor and scientist, creates a potion that releases his evil impulses in the form of his alter ego, the bestial Hyde. The doctor struggles between the two sides of his personality, signifying the personal conflict that all human beings battle.

The creative team will consist of choreographer Jo-Anne Robinson, musical director Peter Casey and director John Dietrich. The production is produced by Sin Chun-su.

The production will China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok, among other countries, after its three-week run in Seoul.

JEKYLL & HYDE is Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse's Tony-nominated Broadway musical. The original Broadway production starred Linda Eder, Robert Cucciolli and Christiane Noll and is the longest running show in the history of the Plymouth Theater. Jekyll & Hyde has had three major tours, hundreds of regional productions in the United States and Canada, and over 35 international productions in countries like Germany, Austria, Spain, Hungary, Japan, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and Australia. It is the first new American musical to have two internationally released concept recordings of the score: Highlights from Jekyll & Hyde and Jekyll & Hyde: The Complete Work. The Broadway cast recording of Jekyll & Hyde received a 1997 Grammy nomination. Songs from the show have been performed worldwide and have been featured at the Olympics, the Super Bowl, the World Series, the WNBA Championship, Miss America Pageants, the 1996 Democratic National Convention, and the Inauguration of President Clinton (sung by Jennifer Holliday). There have now been ten international recordings of Jekyll & Hyde in six different languages.
