JASPER IN DEADLAND Concert to Wrap RSO Fest at 54 Below, 11/18; Wesley Taylor & More to Star

Very Intense Productions and Your Theatrics will present Jasper in Deadland on Monday November 18 (9:30pm and 11:30pm) at New York's premiere Supper Club, 54 Below, produced in association with Prospect Theater Company. Jasper in Deadland is the final concert of RSO FEST, a series of concerts showcasing the scores of three new musicals by composer Ryan Scott Oliver. RSO FEST launched October 7th with 35mm: A Musical Exhibition (produced in association with Tony Award winning producer John Johnson), followed by Darling on Monday November 4 (produced in association with Grammy Award winning Sh-k-boom records and Kurt Deutsch).

Jasper in Deadland follows 16-year-old Jasper as he travels through the afterlife on a mission to save his best friend, Agnes. In this hybrid underworld, Jasper encounters demons, gods, mortals and monsters from Greek, Egyptian, Roman, Norse, and Judeo-Christian mythology, learning what it means to die and questioning what it means to live.

The one-night only presentation is set to include Jay Armstrong Johnson, Katie Rose Clarke, Wesley Taylor, F. Michael Haynie, Tori Huston-Elem, John-Michael Lyles, Julia Mattison, Ryan Nixon, Lexi Rabadi, and George Salazar.

Rounding out the ensemble are Kevin Shotwell, Tatiana Lofton and Connor Russell.

Jasper in Deadland was commissioned by the Pasadena Musical Theater Program where it received a premiere workshop presentation in August 2011. It was also a selection for The York Theatre Company NEO Reading Series in February 2013.

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, is the new performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife.
