Long-running New York revue Forbidden Kiss LIVE! welcomes an overseas special guest to this month's performance, June 8 at 8:00 pm, Stage Left Studio. Italian performance artists Eyes Wild Drag will drop by for a song as part of the American leg of their world tour before sashaying away to Philadelphia and Washington DC.
Among the very first promoters of Italian drag king performance, Eyes Wild Drag is a three-persona drag troupe that focuses on gender, roles and erotic visionary performances. Their original musical/theatrical performance realizes and re-conceptualizes genders, drawing inspiration from traditional drag entertainment and fusing it with other styles. Eyes Wild Drag moves between thresholds of genders, identities, eroticism, power, shapes and looks, all conducted by a 'fil rouge' of seduction and irony. They have been invited to perform throughout the world, hailed as visionary and groundbreaking, they appear in this month's issue of Curve Magazine. They also organize the international queer art festival "Genderotica." Other New York City dates for Eyes Wild include the Queer NY International Festival, Dixon Place on June 13, and Stonewall Inn on June 15.
