It Takes A Village Today and Darryl Johnson joined forces just in time for valentine's weekend, to present the off-Broadway stage play "Love Hurts". Performances will be held at the American Theater of Actors for one week only, February 9th through February 13, 2011.

Love Hurts, written by Darryl Johnson and directed by Dwight Ali Williams, examines the inner thoughts, desires and secrets of four couples in love and how much love hurts when secrets are revealed during an annual weekend get together at Diane and Wayne's house. Every year the couples get together and play a game of Truth or Dare, but this year a whole lot has changed in their lives... as hidden desires and secrets are pushed to the surface we discover that sometimes Love Hurts!

Darryl Johnson was born and raised in Queens, New York. He has written and produced four stage plays to date; "God can and God will", "Everybody's Somebody's, Fool" and the holiday play "The Ties that Bind". His newest stage play "Love Hurts" has caught the attention of many fans and garnered him credit for being the next "Tyler Perry".

Donna Jarrett, Founder & CEO, ittakesavillagetoday.com, chose to make a difference within herself so that she would be a catalyst to effect change within the lives of small businesses and as a result, It Takes A Village Today was born. The company's main goal is to market and expose small businesses through events centered around them. It Takes A Village Today boast small companies from children's clothing, nutrition, and image consultants to larger vineyards owned and operated by successful small businesses.

The Cast includes: Myron Duncan, Kristina Nicole Miller, Jada Mary Neal, Delano Barbosa, Darlene Banks, Brenton Duplessie, Emily Rupp, Setor Attipoe, and John Shaw.
