Fox Stage Productions has hired Isaac Robert Hurwitz as Senior Vice President, reporting to Bob Cohen, who oversees the division of 20th Century Fox.
In his new role, Mr. Hurwitz will be responsible for the development and production of plays and musicals based on the legendary 20th Century Fox film catalogue. He has served as a consultant to the division since it was established in June 2013.

Fox Stage is actively developing several stage productions, including musical adaptations of the acclaimed films MRS.DOUBTFIRE, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and DIARY OF A WIMPY KID, among others.
Mr. Hurwitz co-founded the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) in 2004 and served as its executive director and producer for 10 years. Under his leadership, NYMF premiered more than 350 new musicals, more than 90 of which went on to Broadway, off-Broadway, regional, and international productions. His projects at NYMF also included a musical comedy series with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater; a series of dance-driven musicals featuring the work of choreographers Joshua Bergasse (2012 Emmy® winner for "Smash"), Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton, Tony Award winner for In The Heights), and others; and the first musical theater production exchange between New York and South Korea. In 2013, Mr. Hurwitz received a special Drama Desk Award in recognition of his service. With a varied background as a producer, director, and musician, he has also worked on many productions globally including for New York City Center's acclaimed Encores! series, where he was music associate for three seasons. In 2012 and 2013, Mr. Hurwitz co-produced the commercial productions of Anthony Rapp¹s Without You at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London and at the Panasonic Theatre in Toronto.
