Obie Award-winner Marin Ireland (The Ruby Sunrise, Manuscript) will headline the world premiere of Mauritius, which will run in Boston at the Huntington Theatre Company's Stanford Calderwood Pavillion from October 6th through November 12th.  It will open on October 18th.

The new play by Theresa Rebeck (upcoming The Scene, The Water's Edge, Spike Heels) will also star Michael Aronov, Robert Dorfman, James Gale, and Laura Latreille.  Rebecca Bayla Teichman will direct Mauritius.

"Stamp collecting is far more risky than you think. After their mother's death, two estranged half-sisters discover a book of rare stamps that may include the crown jewel for collectors. One sister tries to collect on the windfall, while the other resists for sentimental reasons," state Huntington notes.

The production will feature sets by Tony Award-winner Eugene Lee, costumes by Miranda Hoffman, lighting by Paul Whitaker, and sound design and music composition by Martin Desjardins.
