This Friday April 8th at 11:00 am (note the earlier start time for this seminar), is the next American Theatre Wing "Working In The Theatre" Seminar. It will be on 'Interpreting Tennessee Williams' with Jessica Lange, Natasha Richardson, Christian Slater and Richard Thomas with moderator Jeffrey Eric Jenkins. The popular "Working in the Theatre" Seminars have been expanded this season and are in a new larger facility. The American Theatre Wing (Sondra Gilman, Chairman of the Board; Doug Leeds, President and Howard Sherman, Executive Director) through its many programs remains dedicated to supporting and servicing the community through theatre and building audiences for the future. The Wing Seminars continue to provide a unique, enlightening, behind-the-scenes theatrical experience with the star-studded panels comprised of Broadway and Off-Broadway's major theatre personalities. WHAT: 'INTERPRETING TENNESSEE WILLIAMS' Seminar

WHO: Jessica Lange (appeared in STREETCAR on Broadway, & currently in GLASS MENAGERIE), Natasha Richardson (appeared in SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER for the BBC in addition to the current STREETCAR), Christian Slater (in STREETCAR and upcoming SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH in London) & Richard Thomas (has appeared in Hartford, Chicago and Washington DC in "A Distant Country Called Youth" and at Manhattan Theatre Club in "Blanche and Beyond," two evenings of the letters of Williams, and also appeared at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in "Vieux Carre"); moderated by Jeffrey Eric Jenkins, editor of "The Best Plays Theater Yearbook," the panel will discuss the many aspects of staging and performing in the works of this major playwright. Participants subject to change.

TICKETS: Call CUNY (212) 817-8215 - $10 per ticket. ATW members can reserve free of charge through the Wing. Tickets will be distributed to holders of reservations beginning one hour prior to each seminar and no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start.

Now in their 30th year, the Seminars are being held throughout the year in cooperation with Continuing Education and Public Programs at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. The panels bring together theatre's best known performers, producers, playwrights, directors, choreographers, composers, agents and others. The "Working in the Theatre" Seminar series is broadcast five times a week on CUNY-TV (Time Warner channel 75: Fridays 9am, 2pm, 7pm; Sat 11am & Sun 5pm as well as on RCN either Channel 24, 106 or 109, depending upon area). Leadership support for the American Theatre Wing Seminars is provided by The Annenberg Foundation and The Dorothy Strelsin Foundation. Future seminars are scheduled for: Thursday, April 14 ("Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"); Thursday, May 12; and Friday, June 10.
