Ashley C. Williams (the star of the cult horror film The Human Centipede) and Mind The Art Entertainment are set to present an interactive "roll your own story" comedy, DIE: Roll to Proceed, which will begin its run at The Red Room in the East Village on March 30th and play every Friday night at 10:30pm through October 19th. The play is written by Joe Kurtz and will feature direction by Christian De Gré, who is also co-producing the production with Emily Meier.

Imagine if you will a world unencumbered by the stress of decision-making, a world where you never have to wonder if you made the "right" decision. In DIE: Roll to Proceed, the protagonist George, in a moment of self-realization sparked by a recent explosive argument with his girlfriend Kate, decides to revoke his own right to choose the paths his life will take. He stumbles upon a solution to avoid the customary human requirement of making hard and potentially life-changing decisions: a six-sided die.

At pivotal moments in the play, the audience is called upon to break the fourth wall and roll the die on George's behalf. Each number on the die determines a specific path the show can take, and after an audience member rolls, the show then goes in that direction. With the multitude of die rolls that occur throughout the show, there are 72 different versions of the play, and all 72 versions are fully staged and scripted. Thanks to audience participation, George and his reclusive roommate Rob embark on a comical, strange, and seemingly unpredictable journey. Their fate… Your hands… Roll the DIE.

The production will star Joe Kurtz, Justin Anselmi, Phillip James, Ed Buck, Amanda Kay Schill, Emily Meier, Robb Moreira, Jonathan Siregar, David Williams, Patrick Alberty, and Joseph Reese.

DIE: Roll to Proceed will play at The Red Room (85 East 4th Street) with two preview performances on March 30th and March 31st at 10:30pm. Officially opening on Friday, April 6th, the production will continue to play every Friday night at 10:30pm through October 19th. Tickets, priced at $15, can be purchased online at www.DieRolltoProceed.com. For more information, you can visit www.DieRolltoProceed.com.
