The Instant Shakespeare Company will present its 700th free reading in NYC with the reading of The Two Gentlemen of Verona on Saturday April 22nd at 1:30 pm at the 67th Street Branch of the New York Public Library, 328 East 67th Street, New York, NY, 10065.
The Instant Shakespeare Company is now in its 18th Season of presenting free readings of all of Shakespeare's plays annually. The company started in 2000 by performing all 36 plays in the First Folio in 12 days at the Applause Bookstore. It also performed at The Drama Book Shop and now presents readings at various branches of the New York Public Library. The Instant Shakespeare Company readings are unrehearsed with the readers are working from the First Folio and Quarto editions set in modern type.
The Instant Shakespeare Company (ISC) is dedicated to the proposition that "Shakespeare is for Everyone!", so performers of all ages, ethnicities, and genders are welcome.
