Inside IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU Cast Recording Sessions With Grisetti, Boggess, Zien & Comments On Closing

Get ready to say goodbye to It Shoulda Been You!

New Broadway musical It Shoulda Been You is directed by multi-award-winning stage and screen star David Hyde Pierce and this week the show announced that it would be closing later this summer and a brand new social media image commemorating the closing date is now available to view as well as several photos and video of the ongoing cast recording sessions occurring this week.

Show standout Josh Grisetti posted the closing performance image to social media earlier this week, quoting a line from the show itself, commenting, ""If whatever means we get a happy ending, then I'll take whatever whenever..." Even August 9th."

Of note, the show will now be playing its final Broadway performance on August 9.

Additionally, Grisetti posted several photos and a video of himself and cast mates - including Sierra Boggess and Chip Zien - recording the cast album for the new musical, writing, "BROADWAY HISTORY IN THE MAKING!! The #itshouldabeenyou Cast Album begins!!" and "We're recording the title song. "It Shoulda Been Me"!! Digital release August 14. ???? #itshouldabeenyou #broadway #castalbum."
