Next month, the Great White Way's leading arts-education organization Inside Broadway and the largest local union of professional musicians in the world, Local 802 AFM, will offer a special "Summer Stock Jr." Camp from August 19-23 for 12 lucky NYC public school students from Brooklyn ages 12-16. During the program, the students will be working with Inside Broadway teaching artists and members of Local 802; this is the fifth year of the program and the third year Inside Broadway has partnered with Local 802 AFM and the program is completely free for participating students.
Hosted at Local 802 AFM Headquarters at 322 West 48th Street in Manhattan, this year the theme for the program is "Musical Melodrama" and during the week the students will be working on a special final performance which will take place on Friday, August 23 at 2pm.
