Sam Troughton, star of the Royal Shakespeare Company's ROMEO AND JULIET is recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery and will miss Sunday night's performance according to the New York Times.
Troughton sustained a knee injury during a performance on July 12. After the audience was led out of the theatre, understudy Dyfan Dwyfor took over.
Nada Zakula, a spokeswoman for the company, said that she is unsure when Troughton will return.

For the first time in its history of visiting the United States, the Royal Shakespeare Company is performing five of Shakespeare's plays in repertory, for a total of 45 performances this summer. The company is presented by Lincoln Center Festival, and Park Avenue Armory, in association with The Ohio State University.
