Friedman Theatre, starring Tony and Emmy Award winner Blythe Danner, Kate Jennings Grant (The Lyons, Proof), Eric Lange (FX's "The Bridge," "Weeds"), David Rasche (Regrets Only, Speed-the-Plow), Sarah Steele (Slowgirl, Speech and Debate), and Tony nominee Daniel Sunjata (TNT's "Graceland," Take Me Out). Tony and Emmy winner Blythe Danner (The Commons of Pensacola, Meet the Parents) stars as Anna Patterson, the matriarch of a brood of famous and longing-to-be-famous creative artists who have gathered at their Berkshires summerhouse during the Williamstown Theatre Festival. But when the weekend takes an unexpected turn, everyone is forced to improvise... inciting a series of simmering jealousies, romantic outbursts and passionate soul-searching. This witty and compelling new play provides a piercing look at a family of performers coming to terms with the roles they play in each other's lives.
Sunjata stars as FBI Agent Paul Briggs on USA Network's, "Graceland." Sunjata is best known for portraying firefighter Franco Rivera in seven seasons of "Rescue Me" opposite Denis Leary. In 2006, Sunjata was seen in "The Devil Wears Prada," starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway and "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" alongside Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey. Additional film credits include "The Dark Knight Rises," "Lullaby," alongside Amy Adams and Terrence Howard, "Bad Company," with Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock, Woody Allen's "Melinda and Melinda," "One for the Money," opposite Katherine Heigl, and "Gone," opposite Amanda Seyfried. Sunjata garnered rave reviews for his portrayal of Langston Hughes in the 2004 Rodney Evans film "Brother to Brother" as well as for playing legendary baseball star Reggie Jackson in the TV series "The Bronx is Burning." Sunjata's other television credits include notable appearances on "Sex and the City," "Love Monkey," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: SVU," the film "The Feast of All Saints," and a starring role alongside Andie MacDowell in "At Risk" and "The Front." He was nominated for a Tony award for his role as Darren Lemming in "Take Me Out," the 2003 Tony Award winning play by Richard Greenberg and was most recently on Broadway in Lincoln Center's production of "Macbeth," opposote Ethan Hawke.
