Kate Douglas (SLEEP NO MORE) directs her new dance theatre work EXTINCT, running November 29th - December 15th. From a creative team of immersive theater veterans comes a surreal office experience that explores our culture of routine over reflection and what we are killing to make a killing.

The company of EXTINCT includes performers Louis Butelli (Sleep No More), Maria Mocerino (The Odyssey Project), Troy Ogilvie (The Gospel According to Mary) and Jose Rivera Jr. (New Museum); the creative team includes director and playwright Kate Douglas, choreographer Brendan Duggan, art director Tori Sparks, dramaturg Carolyn Hall, lighting designer Marika Kent, sound consultant Greg Hanson and and creative producer Hunter Bird.

EXTINCT runs from November 29th - December 15th in a secret location inside a Manhattan Office located in Kip's Bay. Tickets are available for $15 at http://www.extinct.work

The intimate 45 minute performance is designed for a six-person audience. Timed tickets entry begins at 7pm and end at 9pm. Exact location of performance in Kips Bay disclosed after ticket purchase.

Kate Douglas a theatre artist seeking to challenge audiences about the limits of their world through multidisciplinary experiences that center plants and other nonhumans. Her work has been performed at Ars Nova, Joe's Pub, The McKittrick Hotel, Judson Church, Chen Dance Center and the INSITU Festival and developed at Rhinebeck Musicals, The National Theater Institute, Art Farm, the Writer's Colony at Goodspeed, Urban Stages, Artemisia Theatre and HERE Arts Center as well as Turkey Land Cove and SPACE on Ryder Farm (upcoming). Her immersive experience Middlemist Red, which aims to promote environmental stewardship in young audiences, is currently in development with New Victory LabWorks. Additional projects include upcoming musicals with Todd Almond and Grace McLean, and this winter, she will be in residence with Letter of Marque's Ensemble Playwright Lab in Brooklyn. As a performer, she has appeared in Punchdrunk's Sleep No More, Third Rail's The Grand Paradise, Kansas City Choir Boy starring Courtney Love and Todd Almond (Premiere and Tour) and Fernando Rubio's Everything by my side (U.S. Premiere). As a complement to her artistic practice, she is studying herbalism at the Gaia School of Healing in Vermont and began her Master Naturalist training this fall at Cornell University.

Brendan Duggan is a Brooklyn-based dancer and choreographer who has been creating original works since 2010. He holds a bachelor's degree in Dance from Skidmore College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Throughout his performance career, he has had the pleasure to perform with artists such as Gallim Dance, Danaka Dance, Loni Landon, Danielle Russo, Third Rail Projects' The Grand Paradise, and most recently, Punchdrunk's Sleep No More. As a choreographer, Duggan served as Co-Director of LoudHoundMovement (LHM) from 2012 - 2017 before establishing himself as an independent choreographer. Since 2010, his work has been presented at The CURRENT SESSIONS, The Playground AfterDark, The Dance Gallery Festival, FAB! Festival NYC, Gowanus Art + Production Presents!, Hoover Dam Collective, The Creator's Collective, Inception to Exhibition (ITE), Dixon Place, Pushing Progress Showcase, Springboard Danse Montreal (QC), Place des Arts (QC), APAP at the 14th St Y, the Excognito Dance Festival, Gibney Dance Center, Leona Wagner Black Box Theater in Salt Lake City, The Brooklyn Brewery, and The Center for Performance Research. He has also been commissioned to create new works for SALT Contemporary Dance, Western Michigan University, and Whim W'Him Dance.

Tori Sparks (Assistant Director/Art Director) has had a professional career as a dancer in New York and internationally since 1999 working with an array of award-winning choreographers, artists and dance companies such as Punchdrunk, Third Rail Projects, Noemie Lafrance, Johannes Weiland among others. She had been featured on PBS, Gossip Girl, and Freakonomics, among others. She was the original cast and Rehearsal Director for Punchdrunk's Sleep No More in Boston and New York, originating several key roles such as Lady Macbeth. She currently is playing Hecate in New York. She has also served as Assistant Director and Movement Coach for Third Rail Projects and Art Directed, Assistant Directed and Movement Coached a variety of shows, commercials and more. Tori entered the Horticulture world in 2011 as a Gardener for Prospect Park. As the Micro-green Manager at Brooklyn Grange Farm, she grew a variety of 20 crops for an ever-growing roster of five-star chefs and local restaurants. Additionally, Tori personally manages upwards of 15 perennial gardens in the metropolitan area, from design to garden maintenance, for private home and businesses. Fusing her talent and skills as a performer with her passion as a grower and gardener, Tori has found a union in two career fields were creativity, movement, intuition and instinct join together.
