Idina Menzel, currently starring in the new Broadway musical 'If/Then' was among the honorees at this year's Variety's Power of Women luncheon, held in New York City on Friday. The talented actress was chosen for her charitable work with her A Broaderway Foundation.
At the event, Menzel was asked if she would consider starring in the upcoming Broadway adaptation of the hit film FROZEN, in which he lends her voice to Princess 'Elsa' and belts out the Oscar-winning song 'Let It Go.'
"Yes! Sure! Absolutely!" Menzel
told Cosmopolitan.com of recreating the role live on stage. She adds, "It was such a dream of mine to be in the Disney family and become an animated queen."
In addition to the 'Wicked' star, actress and singer
Kristen Bell has also expressed interest in playing the part of Elsa's younger sister, Anna, whom she voices in the film.

Idina Menzel (Wicked, Rent, Aida) is currently starring in If/Then, a new musical on Broadway that explores the effects chance and choice take on one woman's life. If/Then reuintes Menzel with
Anthony Rapp, her original Rent co-star (the pair played Maureen and Mark, respectively). The musical also stars Tony award winner LaChanze (The Color Purple).
Additional New York stage work includes The Wild Party (MTC), Hair (Encores), and See What I Wanna See (Public). Menzel has performed internationally, both in musicals (she brought Elphaba to London's West End) and as herself in a concert tour. Other film and television credits include Enchanted, Ask the Dust, Glee, and Rent. Solo albums include Barefoot At The Symphony (a live recording of her PBS special by the same name), I Stand, Here, and Still I Can't Be Still.
