International stage and screen star Idina Menzel will make her return to the UK next month with an exclusive hourlong BBC Radio 2 concert to be broadcast live on April 26 as part of the radio programme FRIDAY NIGHT IS MUSIC NIGHT, it has now been confirmed.

Menzel will join the 60-piece BBC orchestra for IDINA & FRIENDS, performing songs from her various theatrical endeavors - such as her Tony Award-winning work in WICKED, as well as RENT, AIDA and others - as well as her hits from her celebrated stint on FOX's hit musical dramedy series Glee and her own solo albums.

The concert will be recorded at Hackney Empire, with Mike Dixon conducting the BBC orchestra, on April 24.

Special guests - the "friends" of the title - have not yet been confirmed.

Around the same time as this highly-anticipated FRIDAY NIGHT IS MUSIC NIGHT BBC Radio 2 concert, across the pond, Menzel will be making her long-awaited return to Glee in the final episodes of Season Four, where she portrays the role of Shelby Corcoran, Rachel (Lea Michele)'s mother.

Tickets are now available to attend the concert live on April 24, which will be broadcast on April 26 at 8 PM UK time on BBC Radio 2.
