Iconic Shoe Brands Dolce Vita and Steve Madden Announce Collaboration with Cancer Charity Fabulous and Fighting

Leading shoe brands Dolce Vita and Steve Madden today announced a partnership with cancer charity Fabulous and Fighting that will serve female cancer patients from around the New York City area.

Fabulous and Fighting is a charity that works with women to improve their self-image as they go through the traumatic effects of cancer treatment. Through collaboration with the fashion industry, Fabulous and Fighting provides beautiful and comfortable new clothing, shoes and accessories to cancer patients. The charity sets up temporary pop-up stores within New York City area hospitals so that patients can select items that make them feel and look stunning, while also enjoying an uplifting shopping experience.

Dolce Vita and Steve Madden will be providing critical support that will help the charity's growth by sponsoring their annual fundraiser and raising awareness among the fashion community.

Founder, Bethany Heinrich stated, "I am thrilled about our partnership with Dolce Vita and Steve Madden. My team and I are incredibly blown away by their generosity in helping make our mission come to life, and it is with their support that we will take this organization to the next level."

In August 2013, Heinrich launched the charity following her mother's cancer diagnosis (she is now in remission). While accompanying her mother to treatment, Bethany noticed the gap between the fashion industry and the women they could help serve during the most vulnerable time in their lives.

Putting its mission into action within a short amount of time, the charity successfully became a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2014, and held its second clothing distribution event on May 8 th, 2015 at New York hospital Mount Sinai Beth Israel where they forever touched the lives of 30 patients that day through the gift of fashionable new apparel.

With the support of Dolce Vita, Steve Madden and others, Fabulous and Fighting will be holding its second annual fundraiser on Thursday, October 8 th from 7-10 p.m. at The Puck Building in Soho, New York. Tickets are $50 (and tax-deductible) and may be purchased here.
