Ian Talks - Louie Walks, a one man show (with a bunch of other people), is a musical oddity created by and starring Ian Finkel. Directed by Lewis J. Stadlen, the show takes place in a small NYC apartment as Ian, his ex- wives, his butler and his bass player explore life, love, lust, marriage and music. The reading will take place at Carroll Musical (625 West 55th Street, 6th Floor).

Ian Finkel is regarded as the world's greatest xylophone virtuoso. He has appeared and written for such stars as Michael Feinstein, Sid Caesar, Ginger Rogers, Tito Puente, Larry Gatlin, Martin Mull, Madeline Kahn to name just a few. Mr. Finkel has covered much ground in the music world. He has appeared on all major television stations, recorded for most record labels and has had successful concert tours in Japan, Korea. Canada, Mexico, England as well as the U.S. Ian has collaborated with Philip Glass and has heard his works performed by numerous orchestras such as the American Symphony Orchestra and the Little Orchestra Society. Ian has been on many television shows, films and live performances such as: "Love Laffs" (Lifetime) with Terri Gar, "Martin Mull" (Showtime), "Jerry Lewis Telethon," Woody Allen's "Radio Days," Emo Phillips, Judy Tenuta, Taj Mahal, Atlantic City, Michael Feinstein on Broadway, "Sid Caesar Show" at the Village Vanguard, Second Avenue to Broadway (Houseman Theatre and Town Hall) with Fyvush Finkel, "Read-a-thon w/Sesame Street Players" hundreds of colleges across the US and Canada (Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, Peabody etc.) Condo tours of Florida, headliner on all cruise ship lines. As a writer Ian has penned many film and stage productions: Rainbow Wars (nominated for Academy Award) It's Up To All Of Us, Second Avenue to Broadway, Michael Feinstein In Concert, Sophie Tucker in Person (currently on US tour) Nick at Nite Music of Vic Mizzy ("Adams Family," "Green Acres"), IBM Industrials, CNN Cable News, Port Authority, three novels and books of short stories. Mr. Finkel received a Grammy Award for the album Songs From the Neighborhood, (songs of MR. Rogers).

Lewis J. Stadlen starred as Max Bialystock in the first national tour and the Broadway production of Mel Brooks The Producers. Before that he played Mickey Fox in Neil Simon's 45 Seconds From Broadway. He made his debut in 1967 in Fiddler on the Roof starring Luther Adler. He garnered early attention on Broadway portraying Groucho Marx in Minnie's Boys (Theatre World Award, Drama Desk Award); Ben Silverman in Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys; and Voltaire, Dr. Pangloss, etc. in Leonard Bernstein's Candidi (Tony Award nominee). He has originated roles in two of Mr. Simon's other plays, The Female Odd Couple and Laughter on the 23rd Floor. He has performed in the revival of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Tony Award nominee) starring Nathan Lane, played Nathan Detroit in the national company of Guys and Dolls and was recently seen as Banjo in Kaufman and Hart's The Man Who Came to Dinner (Drama Desk Nominee). Other favorite roles included Harry in The Time of Your Life; Azdak in The Caucasian Chalk Circle; Trigorin in The Seagull; Glogauer in Once in a Lifetime; Vandergelder in The Matchmaker; title roles in The Miser, Semel Weiss, S.J. Perelman in Person and Mizlansky/Zilinsky. Film: The Verdict, Serpico, To Be or Not to Be, Judge Horton and The Scottsboro Boys and In & Out
