X-MEN franchise regulars, frequent stage and screen stars and dear friends Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart will participate in the latter's upcoming nuptials ceremony, with McKellen officiating, according to a new interview.

Stewart is set to marry his girlfriend of four years, Sunny Ozell, and called upon his X-MEN compatriot to perform the ceremony - something McKellen has managed to do more than once in the past.

McKellen says, "I am going to marry Patrick - well, no; how else do you put that?!" he says coquettishly before confirming, "I am going to officiate at his wedding."

He says the ceremony will take place "in The Middle of America somewhere," maybe Massachusetts. "I read out the words and Sunny and Patrick will then be married - 'I now pronounce you man and wife.'"

But, what will he wear? He says, "What do you wear when you officiate at a wedding? Well, last time I went with a sort of gown - a white sort of something I bought in India. It was rather fetching."

Yet, the acting icon adds with a twinkle in his eye, "You musn't upstage the bride!"

This isn't McKellen's first time on the altar, though. "I have done it once before, with two guys having a civil partnership." He adds, "I was crying my eyes out!"

Will us lowly commoners glean a glimpse of his wedding day outfit? McKellen states, "Well, I'm sure it'll be on Google somewhere. You'll find it somewhere."

McKellen and Stewart will appear together in the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST as well as in a special limited repertory run of Samuel Beckett's WAITING FOR GODOT and Samuel Beckett's NO MAN'S LAND on Broadway this Fall.
