Hit Broadway-themed web series IT COULD BE WORSE has officially passed its fundraising goal for Season Two, surpassing the $50,000 necessitated by production costs for the new season of the web-based series days before its Kickstarter campaign comes to an end.
A little less than a day remains for fans of the series starring Wesley Taylor, Mitchell Jarvis, Alison Fraser and more to donate to making the upcoming season even better - and with a bigger budget - than the first.
The official description of the IT COULD BE WORSE S2 fundraising campaign via Kickstarter is as follows: "We've heard you all loud and clear! And we agree...it's time for a second season. four a.m. productions was born on a shoe-string budget and a flip-cam. Co-creators Wesley Taylor and Mitchell Jarvis met in the original company of Broadway's "Rock of Ages." They first collaborated on creating the backstage parody, "Rock of Ages Productions" with fellow cast mate Lauren Molina.Jarvis and Taylor's follow up web project was the critically-acclaimed series, "Billy Green". A satirical comedy about fame whores in show business. A sharp commentary on the lengths actors go to in the name of fame, Broadway stars flocked to guest star and cameo in the sharp-witted spoof of their world. The latest effort by four a.m. productions was the freshman season of "it could be worse," a twisted dramedy that follows the hapless Jacob Gordon as he struggles to become a working actor. He trudges toward success while juggling a cloying boyfriend he can't shake, a distant and unpredictable lover, a toiling career and a truly dysfunctional family life. You can watch the series in it's entirety on it's web site: http://itcouldbeworse.tv/watch. This fundraising effort is to continue Jacob Gordon's story to Los Angeles in Season 2 of "it could be worse." Jarvis and Taylor look to make you laugh, gasp and cry through Jacob's efforts to become relevant in Hollywood. A dark and raw look at the gay Hollywood underbelly, Season 2 will pull no punches in it's examination of sexuality. With recurring themes of humiliation, lust, jealousy and fear.. Jacob Gordon will once again try to be better than he really is."
