Winner of the 2014 SHITFA (Supreme Honorary Improvised Theater & Film Award) for Outstanding Genre Performance (THE SCARY, Improvised Stephen King), IRTE, the Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble, invites patrons to "come to The Pocono Valley Image Enhancement Resort where our highly trained staff of improvisational image professionals will work very, very hard to make you live up to your ultimate potential as a perfect human being in mind, body and soul."

Just don't call it a Fat Camp.

Come see the comedy theatre company whose shows have been called "so much fun...comedic brilliance" (Susanne Pinedo, Pinedo PR), "completely unique" (Heather Boddy, Thespi-Honest), "quick-wit hijinks!" (Amy M. Frateo, Outerstage?) and an "amazing improv super-crew." (Roberto Tobar, Comedy Blogger)

The NYC-based ensemble of comedy performers returns with its own unique brand of original themed, character-driven improvisational shows performed in rep. June 6th, IRTE opens its fourth show of the season, Camp Fitness. Directed by Marc Adam Smith (Former Artistic Director, Gotham City Improv; San Francisco Improv Festival), Camp Fitness is a live improvised comedy set at a kids' summer "weight loss" camp. Will the campers lose more than a few pounds? Will the camp underdog befriend the camp bully? What dark and twisted secrets are the counselors hiding?!

This summers' campers will include Artistic Director Nannette Deasy and IRTE Ensemble Robert Baumgardner, Bill Berg, Curt Dixon, Jamie Maloney and Marcia Sofley. They will be joined by guest performers Evie Aronson (TruTV, HBO Films, Frigid Fest NY) and Graceann Dorse (IRTE Ensemble 2014, Double D, Unidentified, Nick Mom). The group's collective credits include off-Broadway theater, national tours and feature film.

Each show will include appearances by talented up and comers from the NY indie music scene.

Tickets for all IRTE shows at the Producers Club are $12.00, and are available for purchase online at http://www.irteinfo.com/#!tickets/cz8h/!/Camp-Fitness/p/45840942/category=8705737, or at The Producers Club Box Office (Day of Performance only), 358 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036.
