Infallibility is a meta?theatrical exploration of faith, ambition, hope, and the power we entrust to leaders. Carlo, a young actor and priest-?in-?training, is in jail. After leaping at the chance to perform in Rome for Pope Stephen VI, Carlo found himself taking part in the infamous Cadaver Synod - the posthumous trial of former Pope (and current corpse) Formosus. Now, with only prison guards as an audience, the Patron Saint of Actors as a scene partner, and a miraculous store of props and masks, Carlo performs the story of his life and how he wound up in his current predicament; along the way, he may just find his purpose in life.
