With most ticket sales, purchasing decisions, and fan experiences happening online, a Broadway show's digital presence is more important than ever. In this feature, each week I'll analyze our exclusive Broadway Social Media data, highlighting the top growing plays, musicals, and upcoming productions.
This week was a big week for both The Cher Show and Network! With a star studded opening night, The Cher show grew 23% this week! Could it be from Cher's highly tweeted/instagrammed performance at curtain call? Could it be the drama of Jarrod Spector's tweet? Or could it be that the musical based on one of the biggest American pop star's of all time, is creating buzz from word of mouth? ...I personally think it's a combination all of it! Network had strong growth this week too with a 14% increase! The show opened on Thursday to rave reviews, which could easily explain it's jump in growth this week!
Check out our exclusive Broadway show data and growth tracking chart, presented in the same format as our weekly Broadway Grosses, here.
