MATILDA THE MUSICAL celebrated its 100th performance on Sunday, July 7, closing out another record-breaking week at the Shubert Theatre. The production broke a Shubert house record for the fourth week in a row, grossing $1,307,167 over eight performances for the week ending July 7, 2013. Broadway's biggest box office hit of the year MOTOWN THE MUSICAL celebrated its best week ever with a weekly gross of $1,500,580, topping its own box office record at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre yet again. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL played eight performances last week in addition to traveling to Washington, D.C. in the middle of the week for the largest ever Broadway performance on the 33rd annual broadcast of "A Capitol Fourth" on PBS, celebrating the nation's Independence Day. Also of note, LUCKY GUY grossed a whopping $661,829 in its final four performances. We'll miss you Tom Hanks!
