Lots of house records this week as Broadway enjoyed a GREAT post-Tonys next to last week of June. I'LL EAT YOU LAST, Bette Midler's return to Broadway broke the box office record at the Booth Theatre for the fourth time. The production grossed $890,276 for the week ending June 23, 2013. The production's previous record of $865,144 was set the week ending May 12, 2013. ANNIE also joined the Millionaire's Club on Broadway last week, grossing$1,087,792.20 for the week. The Tony Award winning new Broadway production of PIPPIN has broken the house record for the 5th time at the Music Box Theatre, grossing $1,038,618.87. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL celebrated its best week ever with a weekly gross of $1,443,867. (week ending June 23) and beats its own box office record at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and MATILDA has also broken the house record at the Shubert Theatre for the second week in a row, grossing $1,222,026.25. Kinky Boots, this year's Tony Award-winning Best Musical, has set a new box office record at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, for the second consecutive week. Kinky Boots' gross for the week ending June 23, 2013 was $1,503,541.00, the highest for any eight-show week at the Hirschfeld Theatre. Also of note, LUCKY GUY played four performances last week, instead of the usual eight, grossing $634,349.00 for those four performances.
