INDUSTRY INSIGHT: Weekly Grosses Analysis - 3/26

Welcome to this week's edition of BroadwayWorld's exclusive WEEKLY GROSSES ANALYSIS - read on for all the weekly grosses statistics for the movers and shakers from the latest grosses, for the week ending 3/25/2018.
This week, 34 shows played on Broadway, with 292,873 tickets sold and a total gross of $35,414,663. The average ticket price was $120.92.
This was up the number of shows as last week and up 2 vs. the same week last year. Compared to last week, attendance was up 10.12%. Versus last year, attendance was up 8.30%. On the sales front, overall grosses were up 10.83% vs. last week and up 17.99% vs. this week last year. This week's average ticket price of $120.92 is up $0.77 compared to last week and up $9.93 compared to last year.
Of Note:
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child grossed $1,541,957 for a six performance preview week (ending March 25) at the Lyric Theatre. The gross sales figure includes 300 seats at every performance priced at $40 or less per part, with 150 of these seats priced at $20 per part.
The new musical Mean Girls saw a final weekly gross gross of $1,265,646.10 in its second week of Broadway previews, over seven again completely sold-out performances.
