Welcome to this week's edition of BroadwayWorld's exclusive WEEKLY GROSSES ANALYSIS - read on for all the weekly grosses statistics for the movers and shakers from the latest grosses, for the week ending 3/24/2019.

Of note, for the third week in a row, the grosses at KING KONG increased. The week ending March 24, the show was up $60,675. for a gross of $802,074.

Also, HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD grossed an impressive $1,365,612.50 for the week ending March 24, 2019 - playing only six performances in order to accommodate rehearsals for the new cast who had their first performance on March 20.

This week, 35 shows played on Broadway, with 298,672 tickets sold and a total gross of $34,204,242. The average ticket price was $114.52.

This was up the number of shows as last week and up 1 vs. the same week last year. Compared to last week, attendance was up 3.51%. Versus last year, attendance was up 1.98%. On the sales front, overall grosses were up 3.82% vs. last week and down -3.42% vs. this week last year. This week's average ticket price of $114.52 is up $0.35 compared to last week and down $-6.40 compared to last year.
