Luis Salgado choreographs Jaradoa Theater's new musical I'll Be Damned while continuing his run in the Tony Award winning Best Musical In the Heights. I'll Be Damned will play the Dimson Theatre at The Vineyard for a limited engagement from Thursday, July 1 - Sunday, July 18. Luis Salgado is an original cast member of In the Heights where he serves as assistant choreographer. Salgado has assisted the choreographers on the films Enchanted and Step Up 2 the Streets. He choreographed the Off-Broadway productions of Shafrika, The White Girl and Serenade (HOLA Award). Salgado credits as a performers also includes The Mambo Kings, Fame on 42nd Street, A Chorus Line, and Aida.
I'll Be Damned is a new musical which tells the story of friendless, homeschooled, comic book enthusiast Louis who receives a seemingly irresistible offer from Satan. Louis embarks on a journey to discover himself as he attempts to find just one true friend. I'll Be Damned stars Tony Award nominee Mary Testa (42nd Street, Xanadu, Guys and Dolls), Kenita R. Miller (The Color Purple, Xanadu), and Kurt Robbins (Thoroughly Modern Millie national tour, The Water Coolers). The musical features music by Rob Broadhurst, lyrics by Brent Black, and a book by Broadhurst and Black. I'll Be Damned is directed by April Nickell and choreographed by Salgado.
