Training in Improvisation teaches focus, self-confidence, communications skills (public speaking, one on one conversation skills, listening, eye contact), teamwork, leadership and creative writing. Major Corporations hire these teachers to remind their top execs and teams the importance of good communication and teamwork. IMPROV 4 KIDS hopes to impart this wisdom on youth before entering the work force. Plus, this training at an early age helps students better learn in all disciplines.
The teachers, members of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH (www.eightimprov.biz), features professional singers, actors and comics from Broadway, Off Broadway, TV and Film. In addition to college and corporate events, the company presents over 300 shows and workshops for K-12 audiences every year, touring nationwide and hosting field trips Monday thru Friday at their Times Square Theater. Since 2009, via the Comedy Hall of Fame's LAUGH IT OUT program and NYC DOE, EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH teachers present accredited courses to NYC High School Students (more at http://www.eightimprov.biz/Improvclasses).
