iLuminate Productions presents the return of their live show in New York City. iLuminate wowed the nation with their groundbreaking light suits and inventive dance moves on America's Got Talent and then debuted in New York City last November for a successful limited run over the holidays. The show has relocated to a new, larger venue at New World Stages, 340 W. 50th Street, and begins previews tonight, June 24, 2013, with a July 18, 2013 opening.

Music, art, dance and the technological magic of iLuminate brings you a family-friendly story, called "Artist of Light," that combines mythical elements with adventure and romance, told through dance styles that include contemporary, hip-hop, Latin and breaking, all using the power of light.

"I can't think of anything more exciting than returning to New York with this show for an extended run! We promise to amaze and astonish audiences again by raising the stakes, both technically and creatively," says iLuminate founder, creative director, and software engineer, Miral Kotb.

The show tells the story of Jacob, a talented but insecure young artist who struggles to connect with the real world. He takes comfort in his magical paintbrush, which grants him the power to turn the characters of his imagination into living, breathing creatures. When a jealous townsperson steals the paintbrush and turns his sweet creations into horrifying monsters, Jacob must face this danger without the help of his miraculous instrument. He fights to save his town and friends, all while knowing the paintbrush that brought him so much joy is now a weapon in the hands of a villain bent on destruction.

Justin "Kanobby" Keitt, best known as the musical director for hip-hop group sensation Far East Movement, is once again the musical director for this production. Kanobby has produced songs for music icons Snoop Dogg, Quincy Jones and John Legend, and also wrote the musical score for Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa's "Mac and Devin Go to High School" film.

Composer Christopher Tignor's work as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and interactive software engineer is best known through his releases with his bands Slow Six, Wires.Under.Tension and under his own name, across six LP's and numerous compilations on the Western Vinyl and New Albionlabels. As a touring musician, orchestral arranger, and Avant composer, Tignor has played venues as diverse as Carnegie Hall and the Mercury Lounge.

The creative team of "Artist of Light" includes: Miral Kotb (Director, Producer, Choreographer, Playwright); Athena S. Bienvenu (Playwright); Steven Bryson (Associate Producer); Justin "Kanobby" Keitt (Musical Director/Composer); Christopher Tignor (Composer); John "JRock" Nelson (Choreographer, Scenic Design, Costume Design); Dario Mejia (Choreographer); and Marcus Allan Cobb (Choreographer).
